The ideal cycling shorts should be as comfortable to wear and comfortable as they are to be seen in. As every keen cyclist will tell you protecting your buttocks is the most important part of the ride. Most “Deko” shorts come with a G-Tex Chamois (padding) that is ergonomically designed to wick away sweat while providing protection to your ichial tuberosities or your "sit bones". The antibacterial G-Tex padding is sewn into Xpandx cycling shorts or in the case of baggy mountain bike shorts (MTB shorts) the G-Tex padding comes in a separate under short meaning the mountain bike shorts can also be worn as casual wear without the G-Tex under short.
