European "hand Scraped" Oak, Engineered wood flooring is 20mm thick comprising of a 4mm hard wood veneer on a 16mm ply wood base; this not only gives the flooring exceptional stability it also is more resistant to moisture. Engineered floors can be installed as a floating floor over numerous sub floors, including concrete and stone. Engineered wood flooring should never be confused with laminate flooring as it is produced using real timber and has all the characteristics of solid wood including the ability to be re-sanded and re-finished.
